SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY: THE ART OF IRACA PALM WEAVING
Our new collection celebrates the artisanal heritage
of Usiacurí, a small town in Colombia’s Atlántico
region. Known for its centuries-old tradition of
weaving with Iraca palm, Usiacurí’s artisans pass
down their skills from generation to generation.
The town’s main industry is crafting beautiful,
handmade items like bags, placemats, hand fans,
and souvenirs. Each piece is meticulously woven
from the fibers of the Iraca palm, a durable and
unique material native to the region.
Currently, 14 skilled artisans are involved in the
process, ensuring that this craft continues to thrive.
By choosing one of these handcrafted bags, you’re
not just purchasing a unique accessory—you’re
supporting the preservation of a rich cultural
tradition.
